Imagine a system that offers a win-win solution for jobseekers and recruiting companies: the POEI.

This scheme enables a candidate to train for a specific position, while guaranteeing the company that they have the necessary skills before they even start. It’s a practical approach to meeting the growing need to quickly fill specific skills in key sectors.

Welcome to the 2PACE Academy, a real springboard for those wishing to optimize their training and land a job while developing directly applicable skills. For companies, it’s also an effective solution to the difficulty of recruiting profiles with Salesforce experience.

In this article, we explore how POEI can turn a career change into a real success.

What does POEI mean ?

Definition: Individual Operational Preparation for Employment

Individual Operational Preparation for Employment (POEI) is a scheme designed to facilitate the professional integration of jobseekers by enabling them to have a confirmed job offer even before the start of training.

This scheme is particularly well suited to people undergoing professional retraining, or those wishing to enhance their knowledge and skills to meet specific needs in the job market.

Objectives and benefits for job seekers and businesses

The main aim of the POEI is to offer a solution both to jobseekers undergoing professional retraining and to companies looking for new talent.

  • For the candidate, the training is financed by this scheme, which enables them to prepare effectively for a position, by acquiring the skills required by the company.
  • For the company, this is a way of ensuring that the recruited candidate already possesses the necessary skills on arrival, guaranteeing an efficient start-up and rapid integration with an already operational profile.

Actors involved in the POEI scheme

Several players are involved in setting up a POEI:

  • Jobseekers, who benefit from personalized support to help them successfully reintegrate the workforce.
  • France Travail, which coordinates and finances the scheme
  • Partner companies offering recruitment opportunities
  • Training centers offering specific courses

Eligibility criteria and steps to take to benefit from the POEI

Who is eligible?

POEI is a scheme open to jobseekers, including those undergoing professional retraining.

This also includes Salesforce career changers.

Key steps

    1. Identify a training program that meets specific criteria to be covered by the POEI, which ensures that the program is adapted to market needs and offers skills that companies are looking for.
    2. Once the course has been chosen, the second step is to find a partner company. The candidate must identify a company willing to support him/her in this scheme. This company must have a specific recruitment need and be willing to commit to the training process by signing a promise to hire. This partnership is essential, as it guarantees rapid integration into the company. The 2PACE Academy supports these learners in this process.
    3. Next, the candidate and the company contact France Travail to begin the administrative procedures required to obtain financing. A tripartite contract is then drawn up between the candidate, the company and France Travail, formalizing the commitment of each party to the scheme. France Travail plays a key role in managing the process and validating projects, ensuring that they comply with the scheme’s criteria.
    4. The final step is to create and validate the file. The candidate and the company must assemble all the documents required to create the file. Once the file has been completed, it is submitted to France Travail for verification of the eligibility of the training, the company and the candidate. After review, France Travail will give the go-ahead to launch the training project, enabling the candidate to start training and finally join the company.

Charlotte: Head of Human Resources at 2PACE

“Thanks to the POEI program, we were able to integrate employees who had been fully trained in the specifics of our business even before they joined the company. This scheme enabled us to secure our recruitments by ensuring that people had the necessary skills from day one. It’s a real lever for attracting talent who want to embark on a career change, while effectively supporting them as they develop their skills.”

To remember

POEI is a powerful tool for both jobseekers and companies.

It enables candidates to train in skills that are in demand on the market, such as those related to Salesforce, while being assured that a job awaits them on completion of their training.

For companies, this represents an opportunity to secure recruitment and train talent tailored to their specific needs.

If you are interested in professional retraining or if you’re looking to train talent for your company, POEI is a solution worth considering.

If you wish to train an employee who is already working for your company, other schemes are available, such as AFEST (Action de Formation en Situation de Travail, or Work-Based Training) : How can AFEST be used to reconcile recruitment and Salesforce skills development?
